Description
The purpose of the safety cap is to protect the bull’s nose from damage. By blocking the gap between the nose and the ring, the cap prevents the exposed part of the ring from getting stuck. If the ring is stuck, the bull instinctively pull’s it’s head back to free itself and will probably cause severe damage to the nose. A damaged nose can be very costly – especially if it’s a top bull for breeding.
This is very much about animal welfare and economy. It is costly to repair a bull’s nose, an it will reduce the value of a bull considerably, if the nose is not intact.
The safety cap is made of plastic and comes with a small lock suitable for a rope. It is placed after the ring is inserted to the nose, and is easily attached with bolt and nut to clamp it firmly on to the ring.
The cap is suitable for all bull’s rings and comes in different sizes.
